Yaobikuni (八百比丘尼, lit. "eight-hundred (years) buddhist priestess") is a nun who raised Yuzu after finding her alone in the snow when the fox girl was very young. She is an old acquaintance of Konohanatei's landlady, and through this acquaintance, she entrusted Yuzu to Konohanatei.
